Democracy and free speech in Georgia :
- - Protesters faced with "tear gas, rubber bullets, water cannons, truncheons, and, in some instances, bare fists " for nothing more than asking for a change in government. They were also accused of orchestrating a coup .......... but wasn't that how Saakashvili got to power in the first place ? Or is it just because it isn't western backed that it's wrong ?
- - Shutting down of pro-opposition media stations; didn't Hezbollah get condemned for that ? Come to think of it all non-western allied middle-eastern countries are getting heat for that.
- - Trumping up treason charges against the opposition .
- - Ex-government cabinet member gets accused of treason for falling out with the government and seeks political asylum abroad.
Now my question is why is Georgia a western styled democracy while we aren't ? We'll fight Russia too if you want - cross my heart - just give us some nukes and we'll direct them to

Isn't the entire world merely puppeters for the ol' great West? And if the puppets don't perform "properly" or decide to do their own "show" or are no longer serving the "puppet master" then all of a sudden bang, bang the show is over for the poor puppet. Such a sad story line and YET it still plays out, even though everyone seems to know the plot. Why is that?
I'm both saddened and sickened for the real people involved not the puppets or ring-leaders, they willingly involve themselves but unfortunately at the expense of their people. Greedy bastards---everyone last one of them.

Georgian government is democratic and goodd(Inspite of all news repors we watch) only because it is west backed..

Haven't you heard ??? Georgia is America's allies every since they backed up American troops in Iraq ? It's only because of this " little Ole democracy "problem they have had to pull out don't of Iraq you know ? They have to deal with Russia right now , with Bush making all kinds of empty threats to Russia for them .
