All people are alike and want peace and feel pain and feel joy and i agree with 99% of this video except for the part about "Israel" as Israel should not be a country but apart from that we are on the same page :D

I agree with you except with maybe the point on Israel. I agree it shouldn't exist in its current state and form, but the name isn't a priority for me ..... at least no now ;).

Salam PH,
Absolutely - humans are human no matter where they are on the globe. The feelings of joy, happiness, sadness, fear, pain, and love feel the same no matter what.

I totally agree with you on that ibeebarbie, I think its just greed and selfishness that ignites wars and hatred.

great video!

but the ppl vs gov thing is getting too glib for me...all western politicians have essentially the same policy towards the ME, and since they are democracic societies isn't this at some level what ppl want?

Maybe i'm just a pessimist but for eg. the anti-iraq stance only became popular as pertaining to US interest, not the (further) destruction of iraq and 'collateral' damage...

Welcome to my blog Dunia :), and glad you liked the video.

"but the ppl vs gov thing is getting too glib for me..."

Yes it is to an extent; but you can't deny its strength, look at the power of the blogosphere in determining the outcome of the senate elections as a recent example. We have to harness the power of the media as well so we aren't left out of the game ;).

"all western politicians have essentially the same policy towards the ME, and since they are democracic societies isn't this at some level what ppl want?"

It is what they want, at least those who elected the governments in power; but most are brainwashed by corporate media or driven by fear into choosing that option these types of videos try to dispel the lies and show a different view. Even though I totally agree with you on the fact that those who elect governments that conduct acts of war and terrorism should be held accountable for the actions of their governments, bas :

Of course. And those who raise, shelter, support and encourage terrorism must also be held accountable for what they do.

Hence, the clash of civilizations.
