Female vs Male Drivers ............ again

Well I just read this article that presents a study conducted by Kanetix, which is a car insurance company in Canada, to determine who are better drivers men or women. It reminded me of a post Anglo-Libyan had previously made posing the same question.... so I thought it was worth sharing especially since many of our female bloggers disagreed with the general concession reached at the time ( women are worse :p). The conclusion Kanetix reached, based on the number of Accidents and Tickets, was that women were actually better drivers, which I'm sure a lot of women will be glad to hear. I've posted an image of the table summarizing the statistical difference between men and women which was a basis for their decision :

I agree actually that women are usually safer drivers as they dont speed like us and are less competitive with each car on the street (or is that juts me?) anyway but i think the females shoot themselves on the foot by making smaller naive mistakes and try to multitask while driving?..... but i think personally i would feel safer if the driver was a female or not me

"are less competitive "

Yes i agree they are less competitive, but only in driving .... ..hehehehe.

"but i think personally i would feel safer if the driver was a female or not me"

hmmm....I don't like sitting in the front unless I'm driving :p, even if the driver was a male....my friends really hate it when I sit beside them, I'm the type who tells them to watch out for this and that, really get on their nerves :).

Salam,

I think it's really all relative to the individual and their mood or stress level at any given moment.

Although I'm with PH, I prefer to be the one in the driver's seat. If I'm a passenger, I'm not a backseat driver----just prefer to drive myself to wherever I'm going. :-)

I drive very very fast, am I considered a bad driver?

I honestly cant stand slowpokes and most woman I know drive very slow and its so annoying sitting in the car with them cuz hiki I want to kill them.

I think all Libyans drive very well though, I mean anyone that drives in Libya deserves an extra star on their driving license.

COOL..lol

I agree that most females do not speed as most males do, more females obey traffic signs and fasten their seatbelts; moreover, our accidents "la qadr Allah" are less destructive..lol dema 7'abtat baseeta, here and there, not deadly comparing to the accidents of fellow males drivers.. ;o).. Thanks PH

Please all, DRIVE SAFELY, inshaAllah rabi u7fud Aljamee3

I like the new look, if you can make the post entry closer to the blog head, will look nicer :oD

As long as you don't get a ticket :P..... speed isn't an issue on highways its only important when driving inside cities. So you should give yourself enough time to slow down if a child jumps out on the road :)....or a tree crosses the road ;).

"I honestly cant stand slowpokes and most woman I know drive very slow and its so annoying sitting in the car with them cuz hiki I want to kill them."

Neither can I they are the worst, I usually tell them park the car and walk :P...as for Libyan drivers they are professionals they aren't your regular driver....experience does wonders :P.
