I've just read this article that presents a profound reason for peoples love of Rome. Supposedly researchers found high concentrations of cocaine and pot among other addictive substances in the downtown area of the city of Rome.....now we know why its such an attractive tourist destination. Here are some excerpts of the article :
Researchers may have figured out what makes la vita so dolce in Rome. A report from Italy's National Research Council released Thursday found that there are traces of cocaine and cannabis in the air of the Eternal City.
"The highest concentrations of cocaine were found in the center of Rome and especially in the area of the University of La Sapienza," said Dr. Angelo Cecinato, who led the investigation.
Looks like the students at the University of La Sapienza are really stressed out :P.

but how the cocaine or cannabis stay in the atmosphere? wouldnt it evaporate or something? but at least it explains the relax attitude of the Italian, actually we should changed that to the "stoned" attitude lol

Interesting in the fact that Afghanistan has Opium which when processed chemically is produced into heroin. Moreover Opium contains a fair percentage of Morphine used for pain killers. Yet aside from U.S. Government officials not seeing a high tourist rate there. :D Those greedy boogers.

It seems their consuming it at a rate higher than that of it evaporating .... they are really stressed out :p.

That explains a lot. But it doesn´t explain what´s the explenation for Tripoli?!
Is their loads of coke in Tripoli?? I didn't think coke was available.. just hard heroin and maybe crack.. but powdered coke???

I really don't know the difference bro I though coke and heroin were the same :p. I know that in Tripoli they sell some expensive white powder I don't know which of them it is :-\.

ph.. im working on it :).. need to do a drug abuse survey and some anthropological research in boosleem and el 7ay el eslamy first before i can say anything more :P :P
P.S you know in Anthropology the preffered method of inquiry is participatry observation.. for this type of study, one can deffo look foreward to more than just a HIT LOL

Don't worry then there is a lot of fresh air for you to get high on in Tripoli, a bit humid but fresh :p.
